ECONOMY 2007-2013
Measure 8.2 Supporting the implementation of B2B electronic business of the 8th priority axis
Information society – increasing the innovativeness of the economy of the Operational Programme
Innovative Economy, 2007 – 2013
As part of the project, modern equipment and additional software were purchased, on which an innovative platform for automatic data exchange was implemented (CDN XL software, automatic data exchange platform, server with system software). The platform is used by suppliers cooperating with Waldrex on a permanent basis within the framework of business processes: Contractor Relationship Management, Order Logistics Management, Claims Handling Management. The new ICT solution enabled the optimization of activities related to the implementation of processes taking place between Waldrex and its business partners, and thanks to the introduction of automated electronic document circulation, the consumption of office supplies and courier services was reduced, which had a positive impact on environmental protection. The project ran from 01/07/2012 to 30/09/2013.
Measure 4.3 Technological credit of priority axis 4 Investments in innovative undertakings of the
Operational Programme Innovative Economy, 2007 – 2013
As part of the project, a metatechnology was implemented for the production of large-size aircraft landing gear components using a unique milling head. Three milling machining centres necessary to implement the new technology were purchased. The project directly contributed to increasing the level of innovation of the company by stimulating the use of modern solutions in enterprises. The project ran from 01/05/2013 to 31/12/2013.
Action 1.1 “Capital support for entrepreneurship”, Scheme B “New products for the aviation industry
as a result of innovative investment”
As part of the project, process and organizational-technological innovations resulting from the ERP
system – CDN XL were implemented. The management system was improved in all areas of activity.
The investment included the purchase of a measuring machine, design software, implementation of
a quality management system in aviation and implementation of the CDN XL enterprise
management system. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the ability to sell products
increased, and thus competitiveness in the industry. The project ran from 21/12/2009 to
15/12/2010.
Project “Establishment of the Research and Development Centre at Waldrex s.c.” under Sub-
measure 4.5.2 Support for investments in the modern services sector, Measure 4.5 Support for
investments of great importance for the economy, priority axis 4 Investments in innovative
undertakings of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy, 2007-2013
The aim of the project is to expand the existing enterprise through backward diversification. A new
department will be established to deal with research work constituting the stage preceding the
design and production process of products. As part of the project, new specialist equipment will be
purchased, including a spectrometer, milling machines, a numerical lathe and research equipment.
By creating its own research and development centre, Waldrex will reduce the costs of outsourcing
research services, respond faster to market needs, and will be able to generate a greater number of
technological concepts and adapt its work to market needs. The project runs from 1 July 2013 to 30
March 2015.
Measure 1.4 Support for targeted projects of priority axis 1 Research and development of modern
technologies of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy 2007 – 2013
The aim of the project is to develop technology for the production of fuel system components in
aircraft engines. This is a response to the growing demands of the aviation industry, which affect the
quality and delivery time of parts used in the construction of aircraft, in particular aircraft engines.
The implementation of the project will enable the Company to meet the high quality and safety
requirements of customers in the aviation industry, for whom Waldrex produces aircraft engine
parts. The project runs from 1 November 2012 to 31 December 2014.
Measure 8.2 Supporting the implementation of B2B electronic business of the 8th priority axis
Information society – increasing the innovativeness of the economy of the Operational Programme
Innovative Economy, 2007-2013
The main objective of the project is the effective implementation of the B2B system, which will
enable more productive cooperation between the Company and its contractors, and thereby
elevating relations with contractors to a higher level. Effective results depend largely on thorough
preparations before implementing the platform, purchasing appropriate software and hardware.
The B2B system enables the implementation of new forms of partnership, leading to increased
efficiency and improved quality of services offered. The project will include the purchase of four
workstations, a server with software, and a B2B web platform. The project runs from 1 October 2014
to 31 August 2015.
Project carried out under the “INNOLOT” program entitled “Advanced techniques for manufacturing
a power turbine assembly”
Project carried out in cooperation with Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego "PZL-Rzeszów." The
aim of the project is to develop a modern technique for manufacturing a power turbine assembly.
The demonstrator will use modern solutions for thermal barriers used on guide and working blades.
The project runs from 1 December 2013 to 30 November 2017.

Project implemented under the program entitled “Technology for the production of critical
structural elements of new generation engines for civil aircraft”
The project involves the implementation of integrated technology for the production of critical
structural components of new-generation engines for civil aircraft. The production involves very
demanding engine parts that require exceptional dimensional parameters with tight tolerances. For
such production it was necessary to develop an individual production line fulfilling the unique
conditions of machining processes, which was achieved through the implementation of a research
project carried out by WALDREX using its own Research and Development Center. The project
involves the construction of a specialist production hall with a controlled atmosphere, especially in
terms of temperature, and the implementation of a series of numerically controlled machines
arranged in a synchronized production line, specially adapted to the requirements of the technology
in question. The entire production process will be controlled by a specially designed automation
system using industrial robots and manipulators.
The project is an example of launching production using intelligent machines and technologies
individually developed for the production of engine components with the highest accuracy class. At
the same time, it is an example of cooperation between the industry and science sectors in order to
introduce product and technological innovations to the market, drawing engineering and scientific
knowledge from implemented products.
The total cost of the project is PLN 10,000,000.
Funding value: PLN 5,835,000
